Adsense Ad Formats Revised

Everything in AdSense is about choices and learning what works best for your particular website. Ad formats are no different. There is a selection of different formats for text-based ads you can choose to place ads into your website exactly where they will work best for you.

The Leaderboard ad format is quite popular. It is 728 X 90 in size and sits atop your webpage. As many as four ads fit nicely inside the leaderboard and the ads are arranged from left to right. This can be an attractive layout and will fit with almost any website format.

The Banner format is 468 X 60 in size and can be placed almost anywhere on the page. This format holds two ads nicely and can be used along the side or at the top of content attractively enough. The Half Banner is only 234 X 60 and allows you to place one ad anywhere you desire on your webpage. The Vertical Banner stacks the ads on top of each other and is 120 X 240 in size.

For the small type of ads that go in tight spots on your site you can use the buttons with the 125 x 125 square size holding 1 single ad. This is a perfect spot to showcase a single ad if you combine the ad with an atractive backgound color

If you need ads to be shown on one or either side of your content a skyscraper holding 3 or 4 ads can be the solution. The skyscraper was specificaly designed for this purpose and its format is 120 x 600 pixels. If you would like to have more space for ads choose the 160 x 600 wide sky scraper because this one can hold 5 ads

Several rectangle formats are used for in content display. The first one of them is the 180 x 150 pixels small rectangle holding one ad. The medium formt holds 3 or 4 ads in a 300 x 250 pixels layout and the large rectangle ad unit is measuring 336 x 280 pixels for up to 4 ads. The second square rectangle measures 250 x 250 and can also hold video ads

If you use image-based Adsense ads, you can choose the Leader Board which you will find placed across the top of many websites. It measures 728 X 90. The Banner is a smaller ad that measure 468 X 60. The Sky Scraper and Wide Sky Scraper are also choices for use on the sides of a webpage. Or you can choose the Medium Rectangle format. All of these image ads hold a single image.

There are also various layouts for displaying Link Unit Adsense ads so that they will fit well into your website also. They can be stacked, lined up across the top or bottom and allow just as much variety as the text and image ads.

Inexpensive Ways to Print Brochures and Postcards

Inexpensive postcard printing is now an option with printing companies using bigger machines to provide high quality at a reasonable price.

There are many factors and several processes that can result in cheap postcard printing without compromising the quality. Most popular options are; digital printing, four color printing, and offset printing. Depending on your budget and requirement you can select a process for printing your postcards.

Selection of print process alone can save half of your printing cost. If you need large number of copies but choose digital printing methods, your cost of printing will shoot up. Conventional offset should be the ideal choice for you. On the other hand, for a small run, digital printing should be preferred.

An increase in the volumes also brings down the cost to produce individual units. The fixed overhead cost in this case gets distributed over the number of prints. When your print volume is high, you get the advantage of cheaper wholesale prices of the paper. Commercial and professional printers always strive to improve their quality of printing with reducing their wastage and maximizing productivity. As a result, you get a cheaper price for your printed postcards.

Newer technologies enable the printing presses to cut down their cost components. For example, automation in the printing facilities or binding unit can bring down the overall production cost to a considerable extent. Digital imaging options, for example, has single handily reduced the cost of production by 10 to 15%. Advanced imaging technologies like computer to plates can eliminate the cost involved in films, negatives, positives, and other accessories. All these technologies require lesser manual involvement and directly reduce the cost to the company.

Efficient print planning can reduce the cost of printing your postcards as well. If your printer prints the postcards with other similar type of jobs, the bulk cost of production gets distributed over the entire job. In this case, even if you print lesser number of copies, you get cheaper prices.

The concept of globalization, in terms of a faster transport of goods and services across the countries, has played an important role in reducing cost of printing. Now you can get your postcards or any other printing material printed at a cheaper price from a country where the cost of printing is much less. You can transfer the design with a click of your mouse and they get printed exactly the way you want it, at a location thousand miles away.

Competitive pricing can be found by using the Internet. Just be sure that the company you choose still gives you quality output for a lower price. Also, there are some printing facilities that are able to provide combination packages for companies that want them to do all of their design of the postcards, printing and mass mailing. This one-stop shop will definitely help to reduce any additional costs.

Pay Per Click Advertising: Ten Terrible Mistakes

While it is easy to get started in pay per click advertising, it’s even easier to make very costly mistakes. Building a pay per click campaign the correct way means paying attention to detail and continual oversight and management. I’ve compiled a list of 10 typical mistakes that are found in PPC advertising campaigns.

Too Many Keywords Per Ad Group

It’s important to target your ad to be as relevant as possible. Don’t group all your keywords into one or two ad groups. Break them out. Keep them tight. This gives you more control over ad variables so that you can be as relevant as possible.

Not Taking Advantage of Negative Keywords

With quality scores and click through rates playing a bigger role in your pay per click ad rank, it’s more important to weed out the keywords that push up your impressions and don’t result in desired clicks. If you sell “widget software” make sure you have negative keywords such a “-free” or “-serial.” Also, check your log files for your site to look for bad keywords that you are spending money on right now.

Not Enough Testing

An often neglected, but very important result-booster is the split testing of your ads. Even minor variations can increase your effectiveness. Obviously, you can rework such items like your unique value statement or your different calls to action, but there are many variables of each ad that can be optimized. Your display url, the ad title, each line of copy — all of that may be effectively tested. This can be time consuming, which is why a quality pay per click management company can be a great investment, especially if they offer daily split testing. Effort here pays off.

Not Precisely Tracking Results

It’s not enough to know that you spend $6,000 dollars a month and get back $12,000 in profit. Your bottom-line numbers need to be precise. The PPC engines will give your click through rates, but you need to know your ROI or costs per action in detail. Tracking results can help you to spend only $5,000 a month to get you that same $12,000 in profit.

Not Tracking Results to the Keyword Level

Setting up good analytics yourself or hiring a professional pay per click management company can do the job. Not only do you get more bang for your buck by getting rid of poor performers, but getting tracking to the keyword-level makes all of your testing and work even more precise. You need to know your earnings per click. If one keyword has a 56 cent Earnings Per Click (EPC) and another had a $1.22 EPC, this is important knowledge. Adjusting your bids to an appropriate level can keep you from over spending…or allow you to throttle up your overall traffic for even more success. Don’t let poor keywords leak your accounts.

Not Specific Enough Keywords

While some generic keywords can drive a lot of traffic and even be very profitable, they also can be filled with pitfalls. Negative keywords may not be enough to save you from going in the red on a generic keyword. Often, the users doing these searches are at a very early stage of the research and buying process. Again, this is another important reason to track results on a keyword basis.

Avoiding the Dirty Work of Building Long-Tail Keywords

This follows the above item on generic keywords. Building a list and individual ads for the long-tail keywords can be a major time-sucker. It can also be profitable if the task is performed correctly. Those earnings per click will likely vary widely from a generic keyword like “mp3 player,” “sony mp3 player” and “sony 2GB S610 walkman video mp3 player.” One consumer is doing research, the other knows what they want and is most likely looking to purchase.

Not Separating Content and Search Networks

You can get stung by poor quality traffic or click fraud if you do not separate your content network advertising from your search network advertising. If you don’t understand those above items, there is a good probability that you are not separating the two in your accounts right now … and you are very likely losing money. A better solution is to build separate campaigns for each and … track with precise analytics the results from each network. Again, not knowing is probably costing you now.

Not Geo-Targeting a Local Business

If you draw most of your business from a local area, the big three PPC engines allow you to geo-target your keywords to that area. This will bring the local market to your doorstep on non-local keyword phrases. This can be hugely profitable.

Not Continually Monitoring Your Campaigns

Not everyone has time to run split testing on a daily basis or frequently checking your EPCs (even though you should…because it’s costing you). That said, there are still a high amount of advertisers who seem to ignore their accounts for days … or even weeks … or (don’t tell me you’re doing this!) months. The big PPC search engines are increasingly cracking down on poor performing keywords, smacking advertisers with that “Inactive for Search” status for individual keywords. When this happens, you lose traffic, you lose profits. If you are investing heavily in PPC, you can’t just turn your back on your account for days at a time.

Making mistakes like the Terrible 10 of PPC Advertising are common, but correcting them can have a huge impact on your bottom line. If you can manage your pay per click ads at a high level or if you can hire them out to a professional pay per click management company…the results for your increased precision and effort will pay off.

Brochure and Postcard Printing: Postcard Printer Machines

Postcards are perhaps the most cost effective means of promoting your company and the products and services your company offers to your prospective customers. The biggest advantages of postcards are two ‘C’s - Cost and Convenience.

But the essence of any promotional campaign is the reach and the penetration level to the targeted segment of the market. The quality of the printed postcards plays a very important role in that. It is needless to mention that quality output depends on the quality inputs and the processing of the inputs. Thus, postcard-printing machine is one of the key factors, which determine quality of the postcard and the success of the campaign as well. You may have selected the best of designs and paper on which the design is going to get printed, but if the printing machine is not capable of printing high-resolution graphics then the end result may lead to disappointment.

In the past, postcard printing was done mostly on offset presses but as technology advanced they now use digital presses. These newer presses are more flexible and can provide you with more options without sacrificing the quality of the printing process. There are a variety of design templates for you to choose from and the program supports merging your mailing lists with the design for the final print.

Today, there are quite a few digital printer manufacturers who offer different features and attachments in their digital presses. Global leaders like hp, Canon, or Kodak produce machines capable of delivering high-quality prints. These machines have sophisticated systems for paper transfer and printing. The entire operations are controlled electronically via a control panel.

The paper that is used to print the postcards is referred to as the stock. It comes in various finishes and thickness such as; a matte, gloss or pear finish. Most printing machines can print up to A3-sized paper. The speed at which it prints is around 4000 sheets of A4 sized paper per hour using four other colors. If it is printing in black and white then the quantity is 16000 copies using A4 sheets.

The Internet can be used to download your postcard design and by using the control panel you can view the output on the monitor. Being placed in the printer queue one right after the other is a way to prioritize printing jobs.

Both sides of a postcard can be printed simultaneously if you wish to save time printing them. A main feature of these types of printing machines is the variable data because it has the ability to make each printed postcard look like it was customized and is unique from all others. Now you can see why digital printing has become popular in the postcard printing business.

In order to give the printed postcard a shape to match the style of the design the postcards are cut and trimmed. In addition, when adding other affects like UV varnishing, embossing and leafing, these procedures will be done in another area of the printing process. Most people prefer digital printing for short jobs and still like to use the offset printing method for longer print jobs.

Themes the Best of Wordpress

With thousands of Wordpress themes now on the market for free and for money you can bet it’s hard to decide on the top Wordpress themes, but I believe I have come up with a great answer to this burning question. Now there are many free Wordpress themes that are very nice and I use many of them but they can’t justify being number one on the list.

To be number one the theme needs to have some exclusiveness, but at the same time still be available to the general public. I’ve seen some very incredible wp blog templates that are unique to just one person’s blog but in this case we won’t be choosing from that.

I have looked through the top wp blog templates on the internet that cost anywhere between $20-$200 and I have come up with the top wp blog templates.

It was a fairly difficult decision to come up with a winner for the top wp blog templates but after viewing templates for a long time I decided on choosing the Revolution wp blog templates.

There are currently eight Revolution wp blog templates for sale and each one of them are very well constructed and thought out. Each one of theme are constructed for a specific niche blog and I feel that the designs were kept simple enough to use and didn’t go overboard on the options.

The two themes I like the most from the Revolution series is the news theme and the sports theme which are somewhat similar but both very nice magazine style blog themes. Magazine style Wordpress themes have been very popular and I have seen them on lots of blogs recently, but most of the free magazine themes aren’t very well designed.

Now I don’t have much coding knowledge so this is why spending a few bucks on a well constructed wp blogging theme is worth it. With a revolution wp blogging theme you will stand out and look like one of the elite dogs of blogging.

Now this exposure is excellent when starting out a blogging and this is why I give the Revolution wp blogging graphic themes the # one wp blogging theme.
